May: Mommy & Me Collaborative Paintings: Second Sunday Family Workshop- May

Where family bonding meets creative expression! Take part in our continuing series of family-focused workshops, held the second Sunday of each month, featuring projects designed to encourage collective making and creative thinking. Tuition cost covers materials and instruction for a family of 4 (ages 2+ welcome). To add additional participants (adults or children) please contact ArtHaus.

Projects will include: Be Mine Valentine Time (February), Spring Totes & T-shirts (March), Painted Garden Pots (April), Mommy & Me Collaborative Paintings (May)

Ages 11 to Adult: Performance: The Cemetery Walk

Work with director Kristen Underwood of Upstart Crow Theatreworks to create a character inspired by a past resident of Decorah. Theatre games, voice and diction exercises, and individual acting coaching will give you the tools you need to bring your character to life in this living history. This outdoor theatre event is slated for Sunday, September 24th in the beautiful Phelps Cemetery. (Adults may have a more occasional rehearsal schedule than listed.)

Gear Up Slumber Party

Want to attend the ArtHaus Gala but not sure if you can get a sitter?  ArtHaus has you covered.  Bring your kids to ArtHaus for open studio projects, snacks, and tons of fun with experienced Luther care providers, excited to create with your kids.

To secure the $5 per child rate, please pay with paypal by April 28.

Paying with check, signing up after April 28, or drop off is $10 per child.  There will need to be a minimum of 5 students registered by April 28 for the Slumber Party to happen.

Session 1: Technical Theater: Puppetry For All

Taught in two workshops, members of the Puppet Project will lead you and adults in a variety of puppetry forms and build puppetry elements and puppets to be part of the musical, Snip, Snap, Snute.
