By using color relationships, vigorous brushstrokes, and texture, Jillian creates abstract atmospheres. “Some of my paintings are loosely representational,but I find abstraction to be one of the truest ways to connect to the painting and the viewer emotionally.” Jillian Webb Herrmann earned her BFA in from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Today she paints from her rural farmhouse studio, where she lives with her husband, baby girl, and runaway collie.
