2nd Sunday of Each Month: Decorah ArtHaus Improvisor’s Orchestra

Led by Decorah, Iowa based drummer and improvisor, Nick Zielinski, known for his work with various musical collectives, this event offers a captivating exploration of music and creativity that’s open to all. At each event, Zielinski will collaborate with a different guest artist, promising a diverse and spontaneous musical experience. The series will feature genre-bending improvised music, followed by workshops where audience members can actively participate in creating spontaneous music. All ages, instruments, and musical styles are welcome, and percussion instruments will be available for those without their own.

April 14th guest: Jon Ailbouni

This immersive musical experience takes place on the second Sunday of each month, from November 2023 through June 2024.

Sip and Paint at Impact

Fly high with ArtHaus! Join us at Impact Coffee to create this scene of our beautiful downtown. Spend your Saturday night enjoying a Climbing Kite, or your drink of choice, while being led through painting this scene. The event starts at 7pm. Tickets include supplies, instruction, and one drink.

Throwdown Hoedown Gala

YeeHaw! You are invited to the Hoe Down Throw Down Gala on Saturday, April 27 from 7-10 pm at ArtHaus Don your finest cowboy hat and hit the ATM before you arrive to participate in a ton of fun activities for you to support your local art center. Members get in free. Your ticket includes a BBQ meal, line dancing, bedazzeling, and a ton of fun. Wine/Whiskey/Water Walk – Free Will Offering with $1 min (per chance) Pottery Throw Down – $2 per bet ($30 full betting card) Art Dash – $100 (walk away with local artwork)

Opening Reception : Figures and Grounds

Behm, a retired Art and Art History Professor from Hawkeye Community College, brings wealth of expertise as a professional designer, illustrator, and painter. Figures and Grounds, his latest exhibition, offers a captivating blend of figurative works and stunning landscapes.

The Opening Reception is a free event with beverages provided by Rubaiyat. Non-alcoholic drinks available.

The show will be open from May 10 – May 31.

OPENING RECEPTION: Down on the Farm

Experience the exquisite craftsmanship of ironmongers showcased at the Dawn on the Farm iron pour event held at Ludeking Farm. Explore a curated selection of creations, spanning from wall adornments to culinary essentials.

The Opening Reception is a free event with drinks provided by Pulpit Rock Brewing Company. Non-alcoholic beverages available.

The show will be open from June 7th through June 29th.
