Classes

Register for classes here.

We provide classes for students age two to adult. Our classes offer instruction in creative expression and problem solving. After-school youth classes occur in ten week sessions every fall and spring. Youth summer camps are week-long creative explorations for two hours in the morning or afternoon. Adult classes and workshops are offered year-round.

We believe that all youth should have access to the arts and provide scholarships on a need-basis. Apply for a scholarship.

Private Lessons:

Private lessons are available for individuals and groups. Lessons include: wheel throwing pottery, painting (watercolor and acrylic), macrame, stained glass, knitting and crochet, and block printing.

Weather Cancellations

Youth Classes- If Decorah Public School cancels school or after school activities or dismisses early, ArtHaus classes are also canceled and will be made up at the end of the 10 week session.  If more than one cancellation takes place, ArtHaus will strive to create a make-up day that works for the majority of the students.

Adult Classes- Classes will be canceled by the teacher.  Look for an e-mail.  Classes may be canceled for weather or pandemic.  Class sessions will be made up.

Refund Policy

Refunds will be given to all who register for a class that is canceled in its entirety.

Refunds will be made via PayPal or you may choose class credit and be given an extra $10 credit for upcoming classes.

Refunds may be given to individuals canceling their participation in a class if they do so at least 2 weeks before the first day of class.  Cancellations after 2 weeks before the first day of class will not be refunded.

Minimum Requirement

To cover the cost of a teacher and facilities, classes must have 6 fully registered students two weeks before the start of class.  If this has not been met, the director will be in contact with the participants as to the status of the class.
