ArtHaus has a variety of employment opportunities for community members and artists. We offer classes, workshops, and private art events throughout the year. If you are interested in providing your artistic expertise to lead paint parties, classes, or lessons, please read through the descriptions below and complete the interest form below.

Instructor Interest Form

ArtHaus also provides work opportunities for Luther College students through the Federal Work Study program. If you are a Luther College student eligible for Federal Work Study positions, please visit our Handshake profile and apply there.

Class and Workshop Instructors

ArtHaus collaborates with artists to provide educational opportunities in the community. Throughout the year, we offer classes for people ages 2 and up.

Job duties include:

• Develop a syllabus and lesson plans
• Coordinate material procurement with ArtHaus staff
• Prepare the space for students
• Facilitate a welcoming, safe, and encouraging classroom environment
• Clean up the space after the class
• Keep ArtHaus staff up to date on supply inventory

Paint Party Instructors

Lead private painting parties and Sip & Paint events at local businesses.

Job duties include:

• Create an example painting 2-4 weeks in advance
• Prepare the space for attendees
• Guide attendees through step-by-step instructions
• Supervise the party and encourage attendees
• Clean up the space after the event
• Keep ArtHaus staff up to date on supply inventory

Private Lesson Instructors

Lead private lessons in mediums of your expertise. Commonly requested lessons are in drawing and pottery. Lessons may be recurring or on a one-time basis.

Job duties include:

• Create an age appropriate lesson for student(s)
• Meet for thirty minutes to two hours with student(s)
• Prepare space for lesson
• Facilitate an encouraging and safe environment for student(s)
• Clean up after lesson
• Keep ArtHaus staff up to date on supply inventory
