Young writers will explore the process and techniques of creative writing by bringing their own ideas to life in three genres: fiction, non-fiction, and poetry. Class readings and discussion will expose students to each genre, as well as examples of the successes and strategies of other writers, to build a regular writing practice and enthusiasm for in-class writing exercises. Students will host a reading of their original work on the last day of class for friends and family.
