Happy Accidents

Play-Doh was accidentally invented in 1955 by Joseph and Noah McVicker while trying to make a wallpaper cleaner. When a Canon engineer rested his hot iron on his pen by accident, ink was ejected from the pen’s point a few moments later. This principle led to the creation of the inkjet printer.  Lots of accidents have created some great products.  Take your experiments to the extreme in this class centered around failure.  Mix all the paints, iron plastic, and do all sorts of things you are usually told not to.

This class is taught by a working school teacher. While the teacher finishes her day at the school, an open studio time will be supervised by ArtHaus staff for the first 20 minutes of class. Students can work on projects from last class, a group project or on self-determined projects.
